TRASHIGANG
Trashigang lies on high above the Bank of river Gamri chu and is the country’s largest district. This town is also the market place for the people from Merak and Sakten whose way of dress is unique in Bhutan. Today it is the junction of the East-West high way, with road connecting to Samdrupjongkhar and than into the Indian state of Assam.

Trashigang Dzong
The Dzong was built in the year 1659, at Bengkhar by the Kudung Pekar Chhoephel. Today the Dzong is the headquarter of Trashigang Dzongkhag.
Gom Kora
Gom Kora is about 21 km away from Trashigang before arriving Tashiyangtse. It is one of the famous places where Guru Rinpoche meditated in order to subdue a Demon which dwelt in a huge black rock. This place is not only famous as a festival but also for the couple. People come and pray around the temple and search their lovers.
